The Department for Child Protection is seeking a motivated Senior Financial Systems and Compliance Officer to join our Financial Systems and Compliance team within the Finance and Corporate Services directorate in Adelaide. This entry level role offers a valuable opportunity to build your career while supporting the financial systems, controls and processes that underpin critical child protection services. Working in a supportive and collaborative team, you will contribute to financial administration, compliance, fleet management and continuous improvement activities. Your work will help ensure strong governance and effective service delivery across the department.
In this role, you will
- Support the delivery of effective financial management and internal controls across DCP
- Provide responsive financial and business administration support to staff and teams
- Assist with financial transactions, reporting and issue resolution
- Support fleet management processes including FBT reporting and vehicle compliance
- Support end of month reporting deadlines and reconciliation activities
To be successful
You will bring experience or demonstrated capability in supporting business or financial services within a large or complex organisation. You are comfortable working with financial data, systems and reporting tools, and you are keen to continue developing your skills in areas such as financial processes, compliance and business improvement. Well developed Excel skills and an interest in learning new systems will support your success in this role.
You enjoy working collaboratively and providing clear advice and support to a range of stakeholders. You communicate confidently, maintain strong working relationships and approach your work with professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
