The Department for Child Protection is seeking an Access Worker to join the Inner South Office on a part-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Supervising the safety of children and young people during access visits and facilitate activities.
- Managing cooperative behaviour by responding to challenging behaviours and using conflict resolution strategies.
- Organising meetings and travel arrangements, and maintain the access room, equipment, and supplies.
- Providing verbal and written reports on access and collect relevant client information.
- Delivering inclusive services for Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities by engaging in cultural learning.
To Be Successful:
We are looking for a dynamic individual with the ability to manage workloads, organise, plan, and prioritise work activities within limited timeframes.
To succeed in this role, you will use your exceptional communication skills to engage with key stakeholders, including children and their families, to effectively plan and coordinate access visits.
Additionally, you will collaborate with peers, staff, and stakeholders to develop strong working relationships and deliver quality services.
