We are looking for a motivated Family Law Liaison Officer to join our Office for Professional Practice team in Adelaide. This role supports families engaged in both the family law system and the child protection system, helping to strengthen collaboration and ensure information is shared safely and effectively. Working closely with the Senior Family Law Liaison, you will develop your practice skills, contribute to important interagency work and support improved outcomes for children, young people and families across South Australia.

Income & Benefits
- Salary: AHP2: $91,785 – $106,330 p.a. + 12% super
- Exclusive Allowance: Extra 4% for child protection social workers, permanently enshrined in the Enterprise Agreement, making DCP the highest-paying government employer in SA
- Professional Development (PD) – a $1,000 allowance increasing incrementally each year + reimbursement of PD expenses up to $1,000 (AHP2 level)

In this role, you will:
- Support effective collaboration and information sharing between DCP and the family law courts.
- Provide timely verbal and written advice that supports legislative requirements and informed decision making.
- Contribute to departmental reporting and project work, including the Co Located Child Protection Project.
- Apply the DCP Practice Approach and evidence informed methods to deliver culturally responsive services.
To be successful:
You will bring a strong interest in supporting families who are navigating complex legal and child protection systems. You will be ready to learn, build confidence and work closely with experienced colleagues who will guide you through the unique interface between family law and child protection practice. Your ability to communicate clearly, organise your workload and collaborate with others will be essential in this role.
You will also demonstrate a commitment to culturally responsive practice, particularly in supporting Aboriginal clients and families from diverse backgrounds. A willingness to develop your understanding of legislation, risk management and interagency processes will help you grow and succeed in this position.
