Join the Department for Child Protection’s Office of the Chief Executive as a full-time
Assessment and Resolution Officer. In this role, you’ll provide high-level advice and manage complex child protection complaints, guided by government and international standards, and DCP policies.
We’re seeking a skilled professional who can assess sensitive matters, engage with stakeholders, and strengthen our approach to complaint handling across the department.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the receipt, planning and delivery of timely and effective complaints assessments and correspondence in line with DCP’s Strategic Vision and government priorities
- Contribute to high-level documents including records of conversation, briefing papers, submissions and reports, and support the development and review of reporting metrics
- Coordinate complex complaints and feedback with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Provide informed advice to support the effective delivery of the Central Complaints and Feedback Unit’s processes and policies
To be successful:
You bring strong experience in handling complex and sensitive complaints, along with a sound understanding of relevant legislation, policy and departmental procedures.
You’re confident analysing information, communicating clearly and providing accurate advice in challenging situations.
You also have a solid grasp of child protection practices, case management principles and the systems that support our work at DCP.
