The Department for Child Protection are seeking a Senior Administration Officer, on a full-time term basis, to provide effective and comprehensive senior administrative support within the Minister’s Office.

The role is responsible for:

• Providing leadership, training and delegation to the Administration Officer.
• Coordinating the receipt and management of complex enquires, issues and requests received by the Minister’s Office.
• Effectively coordinating contracts received by the Minister’s Office through relevant portals and databases and providing a high level of financial support service to the office.
• Interacting effectively with the general public, government and non-government agencies and generating daily correspondence reports for Senior Ministerial Staff and the Minister.

About You

We are looking for a confident and energetic individual with demonstrated experience in contributing to the delivery of effective administrative services across the office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a range of relevant electronic databases, record management and correspondence applications.

You will have a proven ability to work within a team and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of stakeholders, whilst maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

If you have a sound understanding of Government mechanisms and are able to manage a high and varied workload and take initiative, then this may be the role for you.
