Senior Social Worker with the Department for Child Protection, you will be at the forefront of critical decision-making and intervention, helping to create safer environments and brighter futures for children in need.
In this role, you will:

Handle complex child protection cases with confidence and independence using a solution-focused approach

Reassess investigations and remain open to new evidence when reviewing responses to child abuse

Work directly with families and children to ensure safety and support long-term wellbeing

Write clear and evidence-based reports and present findings in both written and verbal form, including in court

Lead in conducting child-focused assessments with a strong commitment to their safety and development
To be successful:
You’ll bring a deep understanding of the needs of children and young people, especially their development, resilience and vulnerability. Your ability to stay impartial, navigate conflict and negotiate solutions will be essential, along with your skill in clearly communicating evidence-based insights through written reports and in legal settings.
