In this role, you will:
- Maintain a responsive and efficient working relationship between the Department and the Minister’s Office.
- Provide detailed policy, legislative advice and recommendations to the Minister and Departmental staff.
- Analyse and evaluate issues, trends and correspondence to guide decision-making.
- Promote the Minister’s policy objectives and the Government’s broader goals.
To be successful:
You are a dynamic individual with a sharp eye for analysis and an understanding of the machinery of government at the ministerial, departmental and parliamentary levels. You have the ability to assess complex information, identify issues, and provide clear, high-quality advice to support effective decision-making.
You bring excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished Ministerial, Parliamentary and Executive documents. You also demonstrate tact, diplomacy and complete confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.
