The Department for Child Protection is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major strategic project within the Office of Professional Practice, based in Adelaide. This senior role will guide the development and implementation of work that strengthens screening, assessment and decision making across the child protection system. You will shape meaningful reform, provide expert advice, and partner with senior leaders to deliver high impact outcomes that support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Your leadership and judgement will be central to the success of this important work.
In this role, you will
- Lead the design, development and delivery of a high priority project that strengthens child protection screening, assessment and decision making.
- Establish effective governance, manage risks, and oversee progress, quality and reporting for all project components.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders and prepare high quality briefs, updates and presentations on complex matters.
- Build strong consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and ensure transparent, culturally informed communication.
- Shape strategic alignment with legislation, policy frameworks and departmental directions to support consistent and safe practice.
To be successful
You will bring a strong record of leading complex projects, providing strategic direction and navigating competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Your ability to exercise sound judgement, interpret legislation and translate specialist practice insights into actionable project outcomes will be essential. You will be skilled in developing high level documentation, presenting complex information clearly, and influencing senior stakeholders to support decision making.
