Join the Department for Child Protection as a Senior Financial Analyst based in Adelaide. Working within the Commissioning, Procurement and Contracts directorate, this role is central to delivering high quality financial analysis, strategic budget insights and expert advice to senior leaders. You will support informed decision making across the organisation and strengthen the systems and models that guide financial performance. In this role, you will
- Provide expert financial advice to senior executives on complex policy, reporting and budget matters.
- Lead high level financial and workforce reporting, including bilateral budget analysis and contributions to Government budget processes.
- Develop and enhance financial systems, accounting processes and data models that support accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Coordinate specialist analysis of financial and program performance using multiple data sources and maintain key financial data warehouses.
- Deliver comprehensive budget planning, performance monitoring and cost modelling that supports divisional and organisational priorities.
To be successful
You will bring strong leadership in financial management, advanced analytical capability and experience providing trusted advice in a complex environment. Your ability to interpret high level information, develop effective financial models and communicate insights clearly will support executives to make informed decisions that shape strategic outcomes.
You will have extensive experience in financial systems, complex reporting, budget planning and the coordination of large data sets. Your sound understanding of public sector governance, audit requirements and financial legislation ensures accuracy, compliance and strong financial stewardship.
