An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Support Officer to join our team in Port Lincoln. This entry-level role offers variety and the chance to contribute to meaningful work that supports children, young people and families. Working closely with the Business Manager, you will assist with administration, finance, workforce support and office coordination, helping keep the team running smoothly while building valuable skills and experience.

The Port Lincoln office is in a newly renovated workspace in the town centre business hub close to essential services, cafes, restaurants and hotels. As a member of this team, you will work within a thriving environment of supportive and passionate professionals delivering services and contributing to improving outcomes for families and children throughout the Eyre Peninsula community.
The Port Lincoln office currently employs approximately 24 people and is a quick one-minute walk from the foreshore beach, offering opportunities to enjoy relaxing lunch breaks watching the seals and dolphins playing in the bay. Working With Us in Regional South Australia
In this role, you will:
- Maintain staff records, prepare reports, minutes and correspondence
- Support payroll, salary information systems and related enquiries
- Assist with budgeting, expenditure tracking and financial reporting
- Process accounts, manage petty cash and complete reconciliations.
To be successful:
You will bring experience in administrative or business support roles, with the ability to manage information accurately, follow procedures and handle confidential matters with care. You will also provide a high level of customer service, including responding to phone enquiries and counter calls, supporting staff and stakeholders through clear communication and sound judgement in day-to-day business operations.
You will have strong skills using Microsoft Office and business systems, with an interest in working with financial and workforce data. Your ability to prepare reports, maintain accurate records and work with data will ensure information is reliable, organised and ready when required.
You will be organised, dependable and able to manage priorities in a busy environment. You will work well with others, communicate clearly and contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive team culture while taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
