Income & Benefits
- Salary: AHP2: $91,785 – $106,330 p.a. + 12% super
- Exclusive Allowance: Extra 4% for child protection social workers, permanently enshrined in the Enterprise Agreement, making DCP the highest-paying government employer in SA

In this role, you will
- Undertake complex child protection investigations and assessments
- Manage high risk and complex cases within statutory frameworks
- Assess safety, wellbeing, and developmental needs of children
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans with families
To be successful
You are an experienced social worker with a strong background in complex case management and child protection practice. You demonstrate sound judgement, adaptability, and confidence when responding to high risk situations and evolving information.
You apply advanced assessment and intervention skills, supported by a solid understanding of legislation, policy, and evidence based practice. You communicate effectively through detailed reports and professional engagement with courts, services, and multidisciplinary partners.
