As a Team Leader – Briefing Unit, you will effectively manage briefings and provide high-level practice advice that supports DCP’s departmental operations. Situated in Adelaide, this leadership role involves expert knowledge of complex Executive and Ministerial communication to pinpoint practice quality issues and implement suitable resolution strategies. You will supervise and offer meaningful direction to staff within the Briefing Unit to guarantee high-quality outcomes. This will ensure relevant senior-level stakeholders are fulfilled and supported in their day-to-day duties.

In this role, you will:

• Organise briefings and correspondence for Executive and Ministerial staff on relevant child protection matters
• Employ expert knowledge of departmental functions and implement improvement strategies
• Manage the workloads of staff to maintain exemplary performance standards
• Deliver timely responses surrounding media issues and critical incidents
• Oversee complex research processes into policy developments from DCP and other government agencies.
