The Department for Child Protection is seeking an
Access Worker to join the Family Contact Team in the Woodville office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Supervising the safety of children and young people, and facilitating the activities, during access visits.
- Facilitating cooperative behaviour by monitoring, responding to challenging behaviours and using strategies to diffuse conflict.
- Undertaking arrangements to organise meetings and travel, including maintaining the access room or venue, equipment and supplies.
- Providing verbal and written reports on access and collect and report relevant client information.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic individual with the ability to manage workloads, organise, plan and prioritise work activities within tight timelines.
To be successful in this role, you will use your communication skills to work with a range of key stakeholders, including children and their families to effectively plan and coordinate access visits.
You will also have the ability to work collaboratively to develop effective working relationships with peers, staff and stakeholders to deliver quality services.
