The Department for Child Protection is seeking a
Principal Policy Officer to join the Operational Policy team on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Forging and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrating commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive work environment.
- Managing the development and implementation of governing documentation to support best practice in the care and protection sector.
- Supporting risk assessments for governing documents, and providing administrative support to the Policy Governance Committee.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in providing high quality and timely advice on the development of briefings, reports and other communications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current national and international trends in relation to the service directions and influences on children’s care and protection service delivery.
- Proven experience in facilitating consultation with internal and external stakeholders whilst understanding the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex information, research and conceptualise issues, negotiate diverse perspectives, resolve conflict and develop practical solutions.
