The Department for Child Protection is currently seeking a Senior Interstate Liaison Officer to join the Interstate Liaison office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Facilitating all interstate matters including responding to complex interstate requests and politically sensitive Interstate Liaison matters and participating in teleconferences, verbal and written consultations.
- Facilitating the transfer of care and protection orders into and out of South Australia and assisting with cording Interstate Child Protection Warrants to recover children under interstate orders.
- Assisting with dispute resolution processes and the escalation of matters SA has with other State or Territory when required regarding specific matters.
- Liaising with the Minister’s Office to assist in providing accurate responses as required.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual who has a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders and facilitate clarification, negotiation and mediation.
You will have experience in a social work or case management capacity working with children and families.
To be successful you will have an understanding of the range of issues and systems affecting children and young people requiring care and protection. You will also have proven time management skills and prioritisation skills to ensure key timeframes are met.
