Join us at the Department for Child Protection in our Murray Bridge office as we expand our team with a passionate
Practice Leader committed to enhancing practice quality and supporting our staff.
We’re seeking a visionary Practice Leader to drive the operationalisation of our Practice Approach, foster a strong learning culture, and lead strategic initiatives that strengthen practice capability across the office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven leadership experience in social work who is ready to champion evidence-based, culturally appropriate child protection practices.
In this role, you will:
• Provide local leadership to embed and operationalise the Practice Approach through advice, mentoring, coaching, and resource provision
• Monitor practice quality, identify issues, and develop strategies to improve outcomes for children, young people, families, and carers
• Lead strategic projects aimed at building practice capability within the office
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by developing and sourcing relevant training and professional development opportunities
About you
You bring significant experience delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive social work practice within child protection. You’re a skilled leader who can cultivate a professional learning environment through mentoring, coaching, and collaborative support.
You have a deep understanding of the complex issues affecting children, young people, families, and carers in care and protection systems. Your experience includes providing cultural and reflective supervision, and you are passionate about modelling and promoting reflective practice.
If you’re ready to lead a team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in child protection, we encourage you to apply and be part of shaping our practice culture.
