The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking multiple Quality and Safeguarding Coordinators to join on a full-time term basis.
The roles are responsible for:
- Contributing to the Incident Management Unit’s (IMU) operations, whilst applying incident reporting procedures and ensuring ongoing quality assurance for these processes.
- Analysing the management of reportable incidents for DCP managers, monitoring outcomes, action plans, and related processes.
- Collaborating with operational leadership to develop, implement, and conduct quality assurance and audit programmes across the directorate.
- Monitoring the client incident management system and liaising with managers and incident report teams to manage reportable incidents.
- Advising and consulting with stakeholders, management, and staff, while partnering with care providers to identify risks and enhance the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in care.
To Be Successful:
We are looking for an analytical expert with experience in incident management and a broad understanding of the child protection system in South Australia.
You will need exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong report writing and oral presentation skills that will allow you to present complex issues to a variety of stakeholders.
You will have high level assessment skills and experience in managing quality programs, with a strong knowledge of quality improvement methodology.
