As a Senior Project Officer with the Department for Child Protection, you will lead the implementation of projects, programs and service initiatives that strengthen service systems and improve outcomes for clients. Working in partnership with service providers and key stakeholders, you will build strong relationships, drive collaboration and ensure projects are delivered in line with DCP’s strategic priorities. This role offers the opportunity to influence how services are designed, delivered and continuously improved to support safer and stronger futures.
In this role, you will
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of projects that support service improvement and quality outcomes.
- Research, scope and analyse information from varied sources to inform project direction and reporting.
- Prepare clear, accurate and timely project documents, briefings and reports.
- Monitor project progress and contribute insights that support strategic planning and reform.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure effective engagement and successful project outcomes.
To be successful
As an experienced project professional, you bring strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to translate information into clear project directions and high-quality written outputs. You are confident working under limited direction and managing competing deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
You build trusted and constructive relationships with stakeholders and understand how to deliver outcomes in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Your work is strengthened by a whole of system perspective, an understanding of child protection legislation and a commitment to safe, inclusive and high-quality practice across DCP.
