The Department for Child Protection has a significant opportunity for an experienced ICT professional to join as a Lead Cyber Security Advisor on a full-time ongoing basis.
This role is responsible for:
- Implementing and evaluating the delivery of critical agency ICT security functions and services, including the development of ICT security strategies.
- Leading the identification, delivery and maintenance of policies, processes and guidelines that ensure the agency’s responsibility to securely store, process or communicate classified electronic information.
- Managing and undertaking security risk assessments on DCP ICT systems and providing expert guidance on security controls for risk treatment, risk definition and remedial actions.
- Assisting in the management and operation of system and endpoint security, including delivering management reports relating to ICT security compliance.
- Delivering high level and expert liaison, consultancy and advice to relevant stakeholders to support best practise outcomes for ICT security.
About You
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing the delivery of ICT Security Services and functions across a large and complex organisation. This includes developing strategy, implementing innovative security solutions and controls, identifying compliance risks and preparing risk assessments across a range of service platforms.
Your high-level communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and staff at all levels, effectively liaise and negotiate, and explain and present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to a range of audiences.
