The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking multiple Quality and Safeguarding Coordinators to join on a full-time term basis.

The role is responsible for:

• Contributing to the Incident Management Unit’s (IMU) operations including the application of reportable incident reporting procedures and ongoing quality assurance for the reportable incident processes. 

• Undertaking analysis of the management of reportable incidents to DCP managers and monitoring outcomes, action plans and other processes.

• Working with operational leadership to develop, implement and undertake quality assurance and audit programs across the directorate.

• Monitoring the client incident management system and liaising with managers and incident reports to manage reportable incidents. 

About You

We are looking for an analytical expert with experience in incident management and a broad understanding of the child protection system in South Australia.

To be successful in this role you will have high level written and verbal communication skills, and strong report writing and oral presentation skills that will allow you to present complex issues to a variety of stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have high level assessment skills and experience in managing quality programs, with a strong knowledge of quality improvement methodology.

Essential: An appropriate Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership or entitles registration with the relevant Association/Board.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
