Our Keswick office is seeking a Senior Information Release Officer to join the team. The role provides timely, accurate and applicant-focused information release services in line with relevant legislation and policy requirements.
This role will suit a detail-focused and confident professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply legislation to sensitive matters. You will be highly organised, exercise sound judgement and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a strong focus on accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
In this role, you will:
- Understand and apply relevant legislation to departmental records
- Respond to enquiries from a range of stakeholders, relating to applications for information
- Work collaboratively to ensure continuous improvement in information request processing
- Provide assistance with complex applications through effective request refinement and applicant-focused support
- Manage detailed legal matters in consultation with management and legal teams, drafting referrals where required.
To be successful:
- You have proven experience in interpreting legislation and can apply your knowledge to relevant procedures
- You can demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in your work
- You can work within a team and autonomously, maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information
- You can prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, using initiative to problem solve and provide effective solutions
- You have the ability to identify problems through investigations, research and consultation.
