Whyalla is located 395kms North West from Adelaide on Eyre Peninsula’s Spencer Gulf. The town’s population of 22,000 makes it the third most populous city in the state of South Australia behind Adelaide and Mount Gambier. The Whyalla Office has a fulltime equivalent of approximately 35 employees and is one of 6 offices in the region. As a member of this team, you will work with other professionals to deliver services to young people and families in the Whyalla Region. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain staff records, prepare reports, minutes and correspondence.
- Support payroll, salary information systems and related enquiries.
- Assist with budgeting, expenditure tracking and financial reporting.
- Process accounts, manage petty cash and complete reconciliations.
To be successful in this role:
You will bring experience in administrative or business support roles, with the ability to manage information accurately, follow procedures and handle confidential matters with care. You will have strong communication skills and sound judgement to support effective interactions with staff and stakeholders. This role will suit someone who is passionate about working with financial and workforce data, preparing reports and using Microsoft Office applications to a high standard. The ability to organise priorities, meet deadlines and remain focused in a busy environment is essential. A collaborative and positive approach to work is important.
