This is an exciting
opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead the development,
establishment and implementation of the inaugural South Australian Social
Worker Registration Scheme in line with the Social
Workers Registration Act (SA) 2021.
Reporting to the Deputy
Chief Executive, you will oversee all aspects of the scheme’s start-up,
including establishment of the Office of the Registrar of Social Work
Registration and the inaugural Board. You and your team will work closely and
collaboratively with key stakeholders, both external organisations and State Government
agencies, to finalise details of the scheme, determine the human and financial
resource requirements and promote the scheme’s commencement.

With a strong understanding
of the social work profession in South Australia, you will use your leadership,
project management and engagement skills to develop and deliver a high quality
state-wide professional registration scheme.
You will be adaptable and
comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative and changing environment with
an ability to take on challenges with confidence. The suitable candidate will
be skilled at providing strategic direction and high-level advice, and
navigating complex matters with sensitivity.
In launching the new
scheme, you will use your exceptional stakeholder management skills to lead a
high quality and effective communication and education campaign across the
State. You will be passionate about supporting South Australia’s social worker
profession to realise the benefits of the new scheme and meet its registration
requirements.
Skills & Experience

In depth
knowledge of the social worker profession, in particular the needs of the
social worker workforce across SA and nationally
·
Demonstrated
knowledge of current research and developments being undertaken to enhance the
quality of the social work profession within Australia, New Zealand and
comparable jurisdictions
·
Demonstrated experience in planning and overseeing significant, time critical projects
·
Demonstrated
ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and with written
communications, including the ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders
and influence outcomes to achieve positive results
