Joining the Department for Child Protection (DCP) as a Case Worker offers you the opportunity to contribute to our vision for all children and young people to grow up safe, healthy, connected and reach their full potential.
In this role, you will:
- Work within a case management framework to support children and their families
- Use a range of professional interventions and case work techniques
- Visit children in care and provide support and assistance as required
- Connect clients to appropriate services, as well as formal and informal community networks
- Provide culturally appropriate and aware services.
About you:
- You have experience in handling conflict and managing challenging behaviours
- You can provide effective advice and assistance in a sensitive and professional manner
- You show a commitment to developing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- You possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- You can support child safety outcomes for families who live in remote Aboriginal communities.
