The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Lead Project Officer to join on a full-time term basis to provide high level strategic leadership and expertise.
The role is responsible for:
- Leading the design, development and implementation of projects, policies and procedures to support service reform and quality outcomes.
- Writing clear, well-structured briefings, reports and communication materials within required timeframes.
- Coordinating consultation and engagement with delivery partners, government agencies, advisory groups and community stakeholders.
- Researching, analysing and interpreting data to ensure effective, timely and high-quality project outcomes.
- Supporting the Senior Manager by providing guidance and contributing to team leadership and achievement of goals.
To be successful:
You will have a proven ability to work under broad direction and manage conflicting priorities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines within a challenging and changing environment. You will also possess excellent writing skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing concise and comprehensive briefings, reports, and advice on complex issues. A strong knowledge and understanding of best practice in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families is essential, with a focus on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
