Our Playford Elizabeth office is seeking an experienced Social Worker or Professional Officer to join the Assessment Support Protective Intervention (ASPI) team as a Supervisor. In this leadership role, you will provide practice oversight and professional guidance to a team delivering high-quality investigations, assessments and family support interventions.

This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either an experienced, qualified Social Worker (AHP3) or Professional Officer (PO3) depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.
Essential Qualifications:
- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
In this role, you will:
- Promote high-quality social work and case management practice
- Drive team performance through effective leadership, coaching and development
- Lead the development of inclusive, accessible and culturally responsive services
- Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and operational priorities across the agency
- Build partnerships with other agencies and community groups to improve coordinated support and responses.

Salary
AHP3: $112,139 - $120,284 p.a. + 12% super
+4% child protection allowance
+Professional Development Allowance - entitlement to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses
+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
PO3: $108,087 - $115,936 p.a. + 12% super
+additional child protection allowance.
