The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Manager, Projects and Policy to join our team in the Strategic, Policy, Partnerships and Reform Directorate on a full-time term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the development, strategic alignment and delivery of projects to achieve departmental objectives and sustained growth.
- Providing timely and informed advice, briefings and project updates to the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and DCP.
- Developing project briefings and plans to ensure objectives, milestones, budget implications and risks can be clearly tracked.
- Monitoring, reporting and briefing on all financial expenditure, risks and milestones whilst establishing and reviewing project priorities.
- Developing strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders within DCP, other government agencies and non-government agencies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in demonstrating highly developed verbal and written skills to produce quality briefings.
- Expertise in developing strategic relationships to achieve goals, increase departmental knowledge and create communication channels.
- Proficiency in forging strategic and collaborative relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive and high-stakes environment.
- Proven experience in project management and implementation within a human service system context.
- Competence in demonstrating resilience and persistence in difficult situations whilst providing influential leadership and advice under pressure.
