A leadership role is about more than guidance and support; it’s an opportunity to shape how a team grows, works and strengthens practice.
As a Senior Practitioner at our Elizabeth office, you will work collaboratively to build capability, support quality case management and provide consultation, advice and guidance to Social Workers and Case Managers. Working with the Assessment Support Protective Intervention (ASPI) team, you will have the opportunity to share your experience, support the development of others and contribute to the continuous improvement of practice.
This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either a qualified Senior Social Worker (AHP2) or Senior Professional Officer (PO2), depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.
In this role, you will:
- Provide specialist guidance and consultation to strengthen case management practice
- Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and reflective practice
- Support high-quality assessment, decision-making and case management approaches
- Share knowledge and contribute to learning opportunities that strengthen team practice
- Influence the ongoing development of ASPI practice and approaches to service delivery.
About You:
- You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with others
- You provide practical advice to support quality social work and case management practice
- You apply legislation, policy and practice frameworks to guide decision-making
- You coach and mentor others to build capability and confidence
- You analyse complex matters, encourage critical thinking and contribute to improved outcomes.
We welcome expressions of interest from those who are looking to share their experience, support others and help shape strong practice for children, young people and families.
