We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and strategic leaders within
DCP for the role of Director, Quality and Safeguarding.
This senior leadership role sits within the Office of Professional Practice and is responsible for leading and overseeing the Quality and Safeguarding directorate. The position plays a key role in embedding quality governance, managing significant incident and review processes, shaping operational policy, and driving continuous improvement across practice and service delivery.
You will:
- Lead quality systems that support safe, culturally responsive and evidence-informed practice
- Oversee incident management, child death review, and significant incident reporting functions
- Drive strategic policy development and lead reform aligned with state and national agendas
- Foster a learning culture and support workforce capability and development
- Build and maintain strong relationships across DCP and with key stakeholders
- Provide high-level advice and insight to inform practice, governance, and system-level change
About You
You will bring:
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in child protection or a related human services field
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, risk governance, or clinical oversight
- Ability to lead through complexity and influence practice at an organisational level
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
