The Department for Child Protection is seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to join our Data, Information and Analytics team. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Data, Information and Analytics, the Information Governance Manager plays a critical role in developing and implementing effective and compliant information management practices.

In this role, you will:
- Lead significant information governance and records management projects to improve practices across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and frameworks that meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Information Governance team.
- Provide expert advice to staff and stakeholders on information management best practices and help promote a culture of compliance, consistency and information management maturity.
- Monitor organisational performance against governance standards and drive improvements.
- Support the long-term strategy and direction of information governance in the department.
To be successful:
You will bring significant experience in information management or governance with a strong ability to manage teams and projects to achieve outcomes. You will be confident applying relevant legislation such as the State Records Act 1997 and Information Privacy Principles in a practical and compliance-focused way.
