We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our Limestone Coast office within the Department for Child Protection. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, supporting community engagement and helping volunteers deliver high quality services. You will work closely with the Business Manager to maintain and grow our volunteer program, ensuring volunteers are well supported, confident in their role and able to make a positive difference. Your work will contribute to strong outcomes for children, families and the broader community.
In this role, you will
- Recruit, assess, train and support volunteers to deliver high quality assistance.
- Coordinate daily volunteer activities and provide clear guidance and supervision.
- Build strong relationships with community organisations and local groups.
- Monitor data, maintain accurate records and prepare reports when required.
To be successful
You will enjoy working with people and be confident building relationships across diverse community groups. Strong communication skills will help you guide volunteers, resolve issues and collaborate effectively with staff and stakeholders. You will be organised, self motivated and comfortable managing competing priorities while keeping accurate and well structured records.
Your ability to problem solve, communicate clearly and support others in a practical and respectful way will be key to your success. A commitment to safe practice, inclusion and positive teamwork will help you thrive in this role and contribute to better outcomes for children and families.
