The Department for Child Protection is seeking a
Senior Practitioner to join the Murraylands office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Enhancing Social Worker/ Case Management capacity and principles of social work practice by providing advice to DCP staff, mentoring and researching new techniques and methodologies.
- Undertaking regular reviews of cases to ensure that effective plans are in place and appropriate case management is occurring.
- Providing a specialist opinion or recommendation to support Youth Court processes and act as a witness in court proceedings in addition to assisting with the preparation of case conferences, assessments and reports.
- Contributing to the implementation of continuous quality improvement and policy development initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual experienced in providing professional advice on social work/case management matters through coaching and mentoring of peers.
To be successful you will have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with people both within government, non-government sector and community.
You will have knowledge of social work legislative framework including acts, regulations and social work/case management theories and methodologies that guide social work practice principles.
You will also have the ability to analyse complex problems and resolve matters that demonstrate reflective practice.
