The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking a Manager
to join the Out of Home Care Operational Support team on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Providing leadership on governance, quality and risk management, service improvement and managing the Out of Home Care strategy within the directorate.
- Providing expert advisory, reporting and research services to the Executive Director and coordinate responses, submissions, briefings (including estimates) on behalf of executive services and the minister’s office.
- Providing strategic advice and recommendations to ensure administrative structures, systems and processes are in place, developing solutions informed by a whole-of-system understanding whilst
fostering stakeholder relationships and interagency partnerships.
- Driving the cultural change program within the unit, overseeing complaints management and representing the Out of Home Care directorate and DCP on various committees and working parties.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong influencing, negotiation and highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
You will be outcome driven with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
You will have a demonstrated robust understanding of human service delivery and project management experience within a human service system context and have the ability to shape strategic thinking and change.
