The Department for Child Protection is seeking a
Support Worker to join the Port Lincoln Office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Sensitively handling client requests for assistance and undertaking research to prepare appropriate, client-centred responses.
- Enabling clients to access appropriate services through accurate assessment of their requests and making suitable referrals to Social Workers or other agency staff.
- Contributing to the development and review of intervention, access, and family care plans in relation to access supervision.
- Attending regular case discussions with DCP workers, supervisors, and other relevant parties as required.
- Providing child and family support and assisting with programmes and activities, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.

We are looking for a resourceful individual who can demonstrate initiative and confidence in taking action to achieve daily objectives.
You will need the ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders.
You will also be skilled in developing a network of support and community services for clients, and in signposting them to appropriate service providers.
Drawing on your knowledge of child development, positive parenting techniques, and the factors that influence family relationships, you will identify innovative solutions and deliver high-quality, client-focused support.
