As a Service Designer in the KidSafe Connect Transformation Program, based in Adelaide CBD, you will help redefine how child protection services are experienced across South Australia. This senior role places you at the heart of transformation, where insight led design and co-design shape real outcomes for children and families. You will lead innovative service design work, partner with diverse stakeholders, and turn complex challenges into meaningful solutions. If you are driven by impact, creativity, and purpose, this role offers the chance to influence change at scale.
In this role, you will
- Lead end to end service design activities across complex initiatives
- Apply advanced design methods to analyse and validate service models
- Facilitate co design workshops with staff, partners, and users
- Map current and future state service journeys and identify opportunities
- Develop artefacts such as blueprints, personas, and prototypes
To be successful
You will bring extensive experience in service design or human centred design within complex environments, with a strong ability to lead work from discovery through to delivery. Your background will demonstrate strategic thinking and the capacity to align design activity with broader program and organisational objectives, particularly in public sector or social service contexts.
You will have advanced technical capability across co design, journey mapping, prototyping, and user research, supported by strong analytical skills. You will be comfortable translating complex insights into clear recommendations, documentation, and artefacts that support governance, decision making, and delivery.
You will be an inclusive and collaborative professional who builds trust with diverse stakeholders. Your communication and facilitation skills will enable you to influence, support teams, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, ethical practice, and shared accountability.
If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
