The Department for Child protection is seeking a Practice Leader to join the Murraylands office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Providing local leadership to embed and operationalise the Practice Approach, providing advice, information, resources, mentoring, coaching and other support to strengthen the practice capability of Office staff.
- Monitoring practice quality within the Office, identifying practice issues and developing and implementing quality improvement strategies.
- Leading strategic projects to build practice capability within the Office.
- Promoting a learning culture within the Office by developing and sourcing relevant training opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in providing high quality evidenced based and culturally appropriate social work practice to children, young people, their families and carers.
You will also have leadership experience and be able to establish and maintain a professional learning and development environment, including contributing to the delivery of workplace learning opportunities, mentoring, coaching and co-working with staff.
The role requires you to have a clear and sophisticated understanding of the range of issues and systems affecting children and young people requiring care and protection, including their families and carers.
If you have experience providing cultural and reflective supervision in a child protection context and a demonstrated ability to model and promote reflective practice, then this may be the role for you.
