An opportunity is available for a Senior Financial Systems and Compliance Officer to join Finance and Corporate Services at the Department for Child Protection, based in Adelaide CBD. This is a hands on role where your expertise in financial systems, compliance, and improvement will directly influence how the department operates. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, contribute to reform and change, and help ensure financial processes are efficient, compliant, and fit for purpose in a dynamic and rewarding public sector environment.
In this role, you will
- Coordinate high quality financial administration and compliance activities
- Analyse financial data to support informed decision making
- Liaise with stakeholders to resolve complex financial and system issues
- Support fleet management processes and monitor compliance requirements
To be successful
You will be an experienced finance or business professional who can deliver high quality financial services within a large and complex organisation. You will bring a strong understanding of financial administration, reporting, and compliance, and be confident analysing data to provide clear, practical advice that supports organisational outcomes.
You will have sound technical knowledge of government financial management policies, systems, and business improvement principles, along with well developed Excel skills. You will be comfortable working independently, coordinating multiple priorities, and contributing to projects that support reform, risk management, and continuous improvement across the directorate.
You will also bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build effective working relationships, resolve issues collaboratively, and work with discretion and professionalism.
