Essential Qualification
- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions are designed for applicants who hold a Social Work qualification and are eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- PO (Professional Officer) positions are open to applicants with qualifications in Community Services, Human Services, Social Sciences, Health, or other related fields.
AHP Position

- AHP3: $108,347 to $116,216 per annum plus 12% superannuation
- FIFO/DIDO positions available on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster.
- Exclusive Allowance: Extra 4% for child protection social workers, permanently enshrined in the Enterprise Agreement, making DCP the highest paying government employer in SA

In this role, you will
- Guide teams through complex casework and critical decision making
- Mentor staff to build capability, confidence and cultural responsiveness
- Coordinate planning, review and prioritisation of team workloads
- Contribute expertise to service improvement and operational planning
To be successful
You will be an experienced practitioner with demonstrated leadership in child protection or human services, including the supervision and development of staff in complex practice environments. You bring strong professional judgement, cultural capability and the ability to guide teams through risk assessment, planning and decision making.
You will be confident applying legislation, policy and evidence-based practice frameworks, with the ability to manage competing priorities, allocate resources effectively and contribute to service improvement and strategic objectives.
