The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Business Support Officer to join our Mount Barker team. This role offers variety and the chance to contribute to meaningful work that supports children, young people and families. Working closely with the Business Manager, you will assist with administration, finance, workforce support and office coordination. You will contribute to a well-run and supportive office environment, while building valuable skills and experience.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain administrative records, prepare reports, minutes and correspondence
- Assist with budgeting, expenditure tracking and financial reporting
- Process accounts, manage petty cash and complete reconciliations
- Arrange servicing and appropriate maintenance of fleet vehicles in line with agency policies
- Maintain office equipment, stationery and office systems.
To be successful:
You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, when working with staff and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy by following established processes and maintaining strong attention to detail.
Your well-developed organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively enable you to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are confident using Microsoft Office programs to support your day-to-day work.
You contribute positively within a team environment, building strong working relationships and supporting a collaborative and adaptable workplace, while maintaining a high standard in the quality of your work.
