The Department for Child Protection currently has a compelling opportunity for a Quality and Safeguarding Officer to join on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining systems to implement quality improvement initiatives consistent with strategic objectives, performance outcomes and the DCP Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Using child protection system knowledge, expertise and experience to identify and implement strategies for system, policy and training improvements.
- Initiating and overseeing complex project work, innovations and systemic change processes to ensure compliance of recommendations.
- Providing leadership and expert advice on implementing Quality Governance systems.
- Ensuring internal and external recommendations are managed appropriately and provide required reports to relevant committees and management as necessary.
We are looking for an individual experienced in incident management, including identification of client and organisation risk, and implementing quality programs. To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in planning, monitoring and reviewing quality systems.
Utilising your ability to draw upon analytical skills, you will analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions. Your demonstrated highly developed report writing and oral presentation skills will allow you to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders.
