The Elizabeth office is seeking a Senior Social Worker – Carer Assessments, to join their team on a full time term basis until 30
June 2023.
The role is responsible for:
- Undertaking professional assessment of carers, working in partnership
with government and non-government agencies and with clients in order to assess
the motivation and capacity of carers to ensure children and young people are
provided a care experience that enables their development, stability and
security.
- Providing direct social work support to carers and
clinical leadership on casework and case management, producing professional
reports and when required, act as a witness in court proceedings.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have high level assessment
skills including gathering and analysing information, evaluating risk factors
and the ability to produce professional assessment reports. You will be able to provide
sound and practical advice on social work matters and support to carers that ensures
culturally sensitive assessment recommendations and services that fit with
family culture and meet the needs of clients.
You will be able to act impartially and use influence,
negotiation and persuasion to effectively mediate conflict and devise a
workable solution.
