The Department for Child Protection is seeking a
Senior Project Officer to join the Intergovernmental Relations unit on a part-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Coordinating and working with National, State and Territory Governments, Aboriginal Leadership and other DCP staff to achieve responsive and well-integrated links between policy planning and service delivery.
- Working effectively to prepare for national meetings including the development and coordination of materials and best-practice advice to inform strategic discussions.
- Providing strategic project management and policy advice to support the delivery of statewide and national policy and key strategic reforms.
- Understanding, engaging with and working within the broader intergovernmental relations environment for child protection including relevant national frameworks, state initiatives and legislation.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual who has demonstrated high level written skills and the ability to present complex issues and findings clearly in writing, such as reports and recommendations.
You will have a strong ability research and gather information for analysis and to inform problem solving and alternative courses of action to achieve outcomes.
To be successful you will need a significant ability to build relationships and networks, to facilitate liaising, negotiating and consulting with internal staff, external agencies and government departments.
