Our metropolitan Adelaide office is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to strengthen contract renewal, replacement and renegotiation processes. You will manage end-to-end procurement activities within a tight-knit team through your evidence-based decision-making and sound experience in complex procurement. Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable, but your expertise in driving organisational goals within a procurement framework is highly valuable.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee tender evaluations, pre-qualification panels and contract renewal, replacement or renegotiation
- Manage contract dispute resolution processes through sound negotiation techniques
- Develop and examine procurement strategies, policies and systems to reduce contract risks
- Maintain robust partnerships with service providers to guarantee maximised value for money
- Apply professional expertise to boost awareness of complex procurement and contracting matters.
About you:
- You possess extensive experience in end-to-end procurement processes to elevate existing strategic goals
- You exhibit exceptional communication and negotiation skills when liaising with stakeholders and enacting conflict-resolution strategies
- You can effectively operate within a complex procurement environment to make informed decisions
- You have strong analytical thinking skills when assessing contractual and procurement content
- You can prepare concise reports that generate valuable recommendations for the department.
