Are you ready to lead meaningful projects that make a real difference in the lives of children and families across South Australia?
We’re looking for a Senior Project Lead to drive complex infrastructure projects supporting the Department for Child Protection’s residential care and corporate accommodation services. In this important role, you will take charge of end-to-end project delivery using your expertise in project management, risk, and financial oversight to ensure successful, value-for-money outcomes.
As a subject matter expert and strategic leader, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality facilities that align with government and departmental priorities. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of children and families. This is more than just a job; it’s purpose-driven work with real impact.
In this role, you will:
- Provide expert project management leadership, evaluation, and policy advice for initiatives within the DCP Corporate Facilities portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with Directorates to define project visions, goals, outcomes, and priorities, and implement planning and reporting processes.
- Review strategic corporate accommodation needs to support the agency’s future requirements, including exploring innovative commercial leasing options to deliver contemporary corporate facilities tailored to DCP’s workforce.
- Effectively negotiate and resolve complex, sensitive issues with internal stakeholders, external agencies, contractors, and service providers, ensuring best-practice project delivery, fit-for-purpose solutions, and high-performance outcomes.
To be successful:
You have demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in planning, initiating, managing, delivering, and reviewing capital works, facility management, and asset-related projects. You understand the unique accommodation needs of child protection services at an operational level, alongside corporate requirements.
You have proven ability to consult, liaise, negotiate, and manage conflict with tact and diplomacy at all levels. Your written communication is clear and responsive, including reports and Discussion papers. You are skilled at coordinating formal panels and committees and providing expert advice to stakeholders.
If you’re ready to work independently and collaboratively, with a drive to lead projects that truly make a difference, then we encourage you to apply.
